This Independence day how about we try to do some independent thinking for a change. See how many thoughts you can think that you did NOT hear from Cheney and Bush and Rumsfeld. Try thinking about prace. It really should not be too hard. the U.S A got started first to be independent from England, then to try a new way of making a government. "Deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed" it said in the Declaration. That's a fundamental principle of a democracy. It's a great idea, really, and one we should insist upon. We are not on this earth to OBEY the government. We are here to TELL them what we want. How did you ever get the idea this is un- American? Un Fascist, yes. I'll agree to that. But un American? Never!

So anyway, speaking as one citizen of this wannabe democracy, I direspectfully would like to tell those guys to get rid of all their nukes, their daisy cutters, bunker busters cluster bombs hellfire missiles, tanks, choppers, and all the other weapons, and invite the whole world in to sit at the peace table. Yes and stop ripping off those poor countries. Send food, medicine, clean water, build schools. Start making the world better, don't fight any more wars.
